    Hello,

I have a Thinkpad R61i. Recently the battery began to deplet very fast, and yesterday it died. There's a message "a battery error has occured. The battery canot be charged. replace the battery".

According to Lenovo website, it sees that I'm eligible for a replacement, but I need to use their battery diagnotic tool. However, nothing happen when I try to use this tool, even after I disabled the firewall and antivirus

    any ideas?
    thanks

If you're running another browser it might be tailored for IE.

Try this: unplug the power adapter and take out the battery. Then, hold down the power button for half a minute and put everything back in. See if it will charge now.
