    Dear All:

I fall into a choice loop of old T400s(order already, not ship yet) and the new T410s.

I really care is the weight and battery life, the size and weight looks like the same, but the battery life I don't find any clues after hours google.

Does anybody know how the performance of battery life on T410s with standard 6cell battery?

    Any infos are appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

I'd expect it to be about the same under integrated graphics mode, although under discrete graphics mode it'll probably be significantly less. Hard to say for certain since there's no reviews of it yet.

So, what do you think about old T400s and new T410s?

Do these new features worth for extra money and waiting time?

Yes. The T400s has the Intel GMA 4500MHD.

If you need discrete graphics (albeit not very powerful) or a slightly more powerful CPU, the T410s may be worth waiting for (and paying more for). If not, the T400s is a fine machine.

On the Canadian Thinkpad website, if you choose the 2.53ghz over 2.4ghz i5, then you automatically get the IT 5700MHD discrete switchable...

Also, I see a Multi LED BL WXGA+ that's $400 more than normal LED BL WXGA+...Is this the new LCD panel?? The old Thinkpad LCDs are terrrrible compared to the competitors.

trust me, if the T410s multi-touch screen is the same as T400s, then the screen you can image just the normal one with multi-touch function. All the other are the same, the good and bad, all the same.

What are the T410 or S screens like? The WXGA+ LED BL? Are they even comparable to the Vaio Z screen or Macbook Pro?

What discrete GPU is the T410s and is there a source for this? From the roadmap the 's' models are only supposed to have integrated...

All of those screens are relatively similar and use crappy 6-bit TN panels.

Will there be an option for a non-discrete model of the T410s? I have a T400 and very rarely do I use the discrete graphics.

darn, i had hoped that the new arrandale chips would have better battery life than the prior generation. what was all this talk that arrandale was going to be a significant upgrade in terms of much better performance and noticeably better battery life to boot?

    guys...

what I got from a reliable source is the T410s using the integrated graphic card is last about 4.8 hours in official document.

hope this little information will help you, thanks.

Not to be pessimistic, but if 4.8 is official, drop it by 40% at least, so maybe 3 hours.

But they have the option of adding a 3 cell battery, which will increase time....
Now, with this addition, anyone knows how much more the weight would be? I can't find any reference to this. TKS!
