So far I can only see DVD tests, which according to reviewers are not that good. Is the T61 actually that much worse than the T60? Since being a student I am not sure if I will always have an outlet, so battery life is important. Also just curious how does this new Nvidia card compare to the FireGL card in the T60?

Alright thanks a bunch man. Cause I was actually going to pull the trigger on a T60 today, and now the T61 is cheaper for what I need.... That is if the battery can handle what I need.

It maybe not that bad that it seems from the review.
However you are limited with 7-cell battery now with T61.
But I guess these batteries are going to cost less if they did the major change in the power supply section and you can easily buy two sets. -
A bit belated, but...
Most of the battery drain is due to Vista, not the laptop. While Santa Rosa most certainly draws a bit more energy, turning off the Aero interface yielded similar battery results to XP.
