The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. I see it but, I also have a HP elitebook big banner ad at the top of the page plus a big Discover card ad too.

IMHO I think this has to do with the browser remembering the sites you visited and placing ads accordingly. I ordered a system at lenovo.com. Paid my credit card at Discover. Did some research on an elitebook while shopping for my X230t.

I pretty much get a lenovo or HP ad on most pages I visit including the website I go to check cricket scores.

Ditto. I don't really like the NBR template.

Everytime you change pages you gotta skip the ad first. They gotta pay the bills but ... really ... :D

Thanks, Thor. Since the latest "upgrade" changes, I followed your hint and have used the vB4 Default Style. No ads.

(Alternatively, one can scroll to the bottom of the page and select the style option on the left corner.)

I didn't even notice any ads until the OP started this thread. Sony banner at the top of the page for me. I actually don't care about ads. They are easy enough to ignore, and they pay for free content on websites.
