    That's not a stain, that is damage to your screen. I had that on my macbook when I dropped something on the lid, it causes compression on the screen and messes with it. Take a look at the lid of your laptop and check for dents.

    Thanks for the answer,

    I don't see dents on the lid, but maybe it got hit by something on the way UPS brought it to me. Is there something I can do to fix it?
