i was wondering if anyone could help me with the thinkpad R60e. i got it from my dad (who loves to install useless junk software into any pc) and so i'm unsure as to which software in the r60e i should keep and which i should chuck.
i've taken away those that i'm sure are pretty useless, so below is list of remaining software left (as tabulated in the list in add/remove prog):
- access help (part of the thinkvantage think i reckon)
- adobe reader
- client security solution
- diskeeper lite
- intervideo windvd
- message center
- microsoft .net framework (what is this? i've a niggling urge to remove it)
- outlook express quick backup
- pc doctor 5 for windows
- software installer
- sonic dla
- sonic express labeler
- spelling dictionaries for adobe reader package (it sounds useless)
- windows media connect
on top of that, there's the usual things in program files like
- msn gaming zone
- netmeeting
which i think are pretty useless (but i'm not sure if i should remove them).
if anyone could provide some help in which programs i should remove, i'd be most grateful. i'm really looking to cut down the bulk of things in the laptop. thanks heaps!![]()

You can leave all of those programs. Instead of Adobe Reader you can use Foxit Reader but you still need Adobe Reader because not everything can be printed from Foxit Reader. .NET is something similar to Java and you might need it to run some programs.
