    What are people's bootup times on newer Thinkpads? Thanks.

    There are many factors that affect boot up times (including individual variations); however, it's mainly from the HDD/SSD and OS. Typically you won't notice much of a difference between older and newer notebooks if those two components are the same (ie. Intel 80GB G2 SSD and Win7).
