    hi,
how can i boot the recovery partition on the x200?
i mean, i want to do a full system restore.
i know that in previous modules there was an option for pressing F11 when the computer starts, but on the x200 i can't find it (althoguh the service partition exists)

    can someone please help?

I'm not sure but you could try a boot cd utility disc, don't know which one, there's a utility to make active a certain partition within a HDD. I did that on a Compaq desktop with busted recovery functionality, it booted and started the recovery process.
Try google 'set partition active boot'.

Press the blue thinkvantage button at boot. It will boot into recovery/ diagnostic mode, and a screen of menus. Look for product recovery option.

why i press the thinkvantage button i just get a menu of "bios", and an option to choose from a "boot-menu" which later has hd/cd/network..

do you have "Rescue and Recovery" program? You might want to download it manually first if you want to do factory install.

I have the same issue, has anyone been able to solve this?

thinkvantage button only gets me as far as bios settings. the laptop is new out of the box and has been downgraded to xp by the reseller.

MyT500 works the same but I never bothered investigating as F11 gets me into the RnR service partition.
