    i just bought a t61 on ebay. is there a way to check if it is stolen (liike checking dell service tag). thanks

    If you bought it from an authorized dealer on eBay, the chances of it being stolen property are nill.

    Well I bought mine used from Gumtree and even registered it on Lenovo's site with the serial number. If it was stolen I am sure they would have contacted me or sent in the plods...

    its weird cuz it has "singapore" on the Windows Vista OEM sticker

    I brought straight from lenovo.com and it has Lenovo Singapore under Windows Vista OEM. It was shipped from Hong Kong or China too.

    Mine is also from Lenovo Singapore (XP Pro COA). Nothing to worry there.
