got a brand new R61i on ebay for $699, I think it was a resale from someone's Black Friday score, I think they got it from Staples, cuz the box UPC is removed.

    R61i 8932-A11

    Core2Duo 1.5gHz T5250 120 gig 5400rpm
    15.4" widescreen
    1gig RAM
    Fingerprint reader
    x3100 graphics
    a/b/g intel/Pro wireless
    Win XP Pro
    DVD writer
    no bluetooth

I checked on lenovo's website and a similarly spec'd R61i seems to go for over $800, even with the holiday sale pricing throught Dec 10th. Did I still get a good deal or no?

If you like it and are happy with the price you paid for it then you got a good deal.
