I Remember reading somewhere in this forum that the thinkpads had a built in microphone, but i couldn't verify. So i thought about asking the question myself. Do the thinkpad models have a built in microphone? And if yes which models have that?
Thx!

The Z61m with a built-in camera includes a built-in microphone.
-
I believe most, if not all, the T-series do.
-
Hmm...I'm not aware my T60 has a built-in mic.
-
My old school A21p had one...can't say I used it often enough to warrant it being there though

For the t60 i believe the microphone is located close to the Fn key. I own a t43p and it has a microphone which is above the ESC key. In fact I am willing to conjecture that all brands of laptop today have a built in microphone. It is a standard feature.

motte,
For the T60, the announcement letter 106-078
( http://www-306.ibm.com/common/ssi/O..../../8/897/ENUS106-078/index.html&InfoType=AN)
states:
Audio: Full-duplex audio on the system board and the integrated microphone allow voice annotation and audio. The system is equipped with audio in/out jacks for stereo speakers, headphone, or external microphone. The system supports Microsoft DirectSound applications. -
my t60 has a mic...i accidently noticed it when playing CS without my headset plugged in and i inadvertantly used it. its directly underneath the fn key on the left side of the keyboard.
-
Really! What a pleasant surprise. There's a small hole below the Fn key. I will try it out later
built in mic?
