    Someone posted an image of the inside of this machine including RAM on one of the threads here and it appears to be a stick rather than soldered RAM and the CPU can support 8GB so in theory it should be possible. I don't think anyone has done it though so no definitive answer to your question.

    I have the black i7 model, of course it depends on how you're using the machine and budget, but I'm already using a big chunk of the SSD space, RAM and CPU utilization.

    Yes. I posted the picture of the inside. You can upgrade the memory to 8gb (ddr3l 1600 is the spec) and you can, if you are feeling adventurous, upgrade the SSD to one of the rare 5mm SSD or hard drives or, removing padding, fit a more common (and higher capacity) 7mm drive inside.

    Now that 1x 16gb is on the market I believe you can use 16gb in your yoga 3

    Can you elaborate on the padding? What does removing it entail?
