can i ask for a price match in this case?

i have bought my machine thru EPP (im not a employer) and now i have found a lower price in VISA cardholder deals.do u think i can ask for a price match?what should i do?convert the new price to a quote then calling them?is it ok to get the quote within the 21 days period BUT calling them after that period?

 

Give it a shot. I don't see why it wouldn't be valid if you bought your machine with a VISA credit card.

make a quote and call Lenovo wihtin 21 days counte from the shipping day. I already got $185 credit back.

 

my main problem is i can make a quote within the 21 day period but i cant call them within that time as im not in US right now.is it possible to call them after the 21 day period with a quote which is taken within that period?

 

I run into the same problem with you, dear satelite.I've make a quote and send a email to them today,still no reply yet.Hope I can get a price match.Maybe you can send them email too and see if it counts.

hi buddy, it does not matter where you are, just make sure you can make phone call to US Lenovo, you can make international call thru Skype or your cell phone or land line.
I made international call to lenovo ask for price match, and i got the price difference credited back few days ago.

 

kyo-yuki, I think you should call them. At least in the US Lenovo doesn't reply to emails very well...

satellite, I think you should call them before the 21 days is up. Why would you call them after?

 

I called them about this the other day cause I was wondering myself and they said you call definitely call them and they will price match it for you and give you the discount.

 

Yep, I just got a credit 5 minutes ago on the phone from cpp. Although they said it would take 2 days to approve and a week to actually get the credit. I'm so happy I chose to get the dvd burner on the t61 i received last week because now with the credit, its free.

 

i got a reply by mail from them,as i wasnt able to contact them by phone at that time.here is their reply:

Cool, at least you have confirmation. It takes some time for the credit to appear sometimes.

 

It's hard to let go of money and IMO this price match deal is a great benefit to the buyer.
