now i know that T520 comes with either 90W or 135W adapter.

my question is, can i use it with 65W adapter I have (from x201s)?

my T520 got i3 and intel 3000 but has 1600X900 screen which might suck a bit more juice than 1366X768 resolution LCD...

i can try it to see if it works but i don't wanna blow up any circuitry so thought I'd check with you guys first

    thanks!

Those specs should be fine with the 65 watt adapter, but I always use the higher rated adapters as they run cooler.

The base T520 comes with a 65W adapter. Only the T520 with the Nvidia discrete/optimus option requires a 90W adapter.

    You'll be fine :)

If I boot my T520 (i5) with a 65W power adapter attached, the BIOS will complain about "low wattage."

I suppose if I boot my T520 with battery, let it run, then plug in the 65W adapter, the laptop will attempt to charge the battery, but likely very slowly.

I stick with the 90W power adapter, and would recommend the same to you.

My i7 T520i with FHD came with a 65W. So I'm assuming it is OK, unless Lenovo messed up and sent the wrong adapter with my system ?!

i7 dual core or quad core? Dual core I can see as it is the same relatively 35 watt TDP as the i5 dual core. i7 quad core...hrmm you may have an exploding AC adapter soon.
