I have received my T61 14 WXGA and have decided to return it for 14XGA.

Now, my 14WXGA had bluetooth, which I did not request. Since it's a change from my order, is it possible to have lenovo waive restocking fee?

If it is lenovo's mistake you wont be charged the restocking fee of 15%. Also make sure you tell them that you have placed another order. I did the same thing and the restocking fee was waived for me.

To follow up with gridtalker if you don't get what you want from CS number one call until you do. Someone will breakdown, and HELP you the CUSTOMER out.

but do you talk to sales or returns? I talked to sales and they told me that since I already have RMA number, I have agreed to 15% restocking fee.

Should I keep calling returns or talk to sales?

    Thanks

In my case, when I called the "returns department", they first told me that they will charge me the restocking fee. After I argued (successfully), they told me that I won't be charged the fee and then I was given the RMA numbers and the shipping labels were forwarded to UPS.
It seems like they gave you the RMA number but didn't mention about the restocking fee. Its the rep's mistake, I guess. My suggestion is that you call the returns department again and make the situation clear, tell them you are not agreeing to the restocking fee because it was Lenovo's mitake in the first place. Also, like others have mentioned here, if things don't work out with one rep, just hang up and try another one. Good luck.

if they hassle you, you can also say your current work does not allow computers to be bluetooth enabled because of security concerns. I know it's a load of crock, but i've found that the CS reps are more willing to help if your problem restricts you from doing work - not so much if it's just an inconvenience.
