This will be my THIRD one, because for some reason mine keeps falling apart where it plugs into the computer. Now, I can still hold it JUST RIGHT & still get power, & like my last one wrapped a ton of electrical tape around it if I don't move my laptop, but I know what's eventually going to happen, because I've already been through this once.

B.T.W. i know this is completely my fault, both times, because wires just don't break on their own. But just hoping someone knows of a power pack that works with my lenovo, like another brand I've never had a problem with in this regard- because the plug makes a 90 out of the back of the computer (not that it's a better design than coming straight out, but might be more fool-proof for people who carelessly use their computers on their lap while still plugged in).

edit- B.T.W. it's the "Lenovo A.C. adapter 90w 20v" for a T60. I think this is it, & i am apparently not the only one who has had this problem. http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-ThinkPad-90W-AC-Adapter/dp/B000BUIP6K but i admit it is still user error.

O.k. thanks guys i think my best bet is to stick with another lenovo adapter, & just wrap the F. out of it- from the beginning this time. not wait until it starts getting buggy. electrical tape, then gorrilla tape.. maybe a splint in there to keep things from falling apart.

any clue if one of these can be picked up at major retailers, office max/depot, best buy and the like? i have a microcenter & frys here too. anyone ever bought one in a B& m store/

that literally means TIPS, like physcial connections you swap out to fit all those? or TIPS (I.E. hints etc.)?

because they have that one at frys supposedly for in-store p.u. i'll try this morning. frys will take it back if it doesn't, but it is $60. if it's going to be the same desing (straight out) i'd just assume get the lenovo one, if i can find it.

I'm not aware of any Lenovo adapters like you describe. A third party adapter is probably your best shot.

And yes they are, it's several swappable tips in the box. Half of the tips are straight like lenovo's original, and half of them go in at a right angle, depending on which notebook you have. Luckily the one that fit mine IS a 90! Does not make contact with my leg at all, so I'm going to skip the tape & splint altogether.

And to be clear, NOT that this 90 degree is any kind of upgrade for a BUSINESS notebook. Putting it on your lap plugged in, amateur move. Probably why no one else is having this problem.

    THANKS!

just F.Y.I. after using it a while now, these tips can come disconnected fairly easy, so no perfect solution. unless i superglued this tip on, it would be dedicated to lenovo use only. which would be fine as my other brand of choice makes power supplies that are bent already.

maybe you should get a X60 laptop instead, since the power plug comes out of the side rather than from the back.
