    Hi,

I don't have a blank cd right now and I want to update the bios of a t410... just need to make sure if someone has successfully used a usb flash drive loaded with the contents of the downloaded ISO from the lenovo support site.

I wouldn't want to brick this laptop just because the software was incapable of updating from a usb stick :(

    Thanks a lot!

I would say yes. Also, Remember that they would not start a bios update unless your hardware was prepared. This is another way of saying - yes.

Stupid me, I didn't know there was a windows version of the BIOS update utility. So I used that instead; booting up to a FD or ISO is too risky for me. :)

    thanks to all!
