    I followed the instruction

checked the 'enable press-to-select' option. but nothing is happening when I hit the red dot. what's the deal here?

you know, enabling click on trackpoint is useless, because if you wanted to do everything thing with your middle finger, and get cramps from hand suspension, you'd use the touchpad. the reason the trackpoint is comfortable is that the hand can rest ON the laptop, with the thumb perfectly aligned to hit the trackpoints two click buttons that are north of the touchpad. its much more ergonomic than a touchpad. not using the thumb click is like ignoring half of the function of the trackpoint.

It worked on my t61, but I didn't like the feel of clicking using the trackpoint. It was kind of hard to press without actually moving the mouse. I turned it off
