Often after I wake up my T60 from a nap, I can't access the internet without first disabling the personal firewall or completely rebooting. Also, internet access has been painfully slow these days, even though the signal strength and transmit rate with the router are very good.

These are really two separate issues. The first is related to the CA Personal Firewall. I know, the first recommendation is going to be to get rid of that crappy product (very hard to get support from CA).

The second issue is that, even after a fresh reboot, internet access has been painfully slow lately. Seemed like it was better even just last week. Running Vista Business.

I've had blazing fast internet connection using other laptops with this same router before. I've tried disabled the CA Security Suite, and again didn't really notice a difference.

Any clues what to try next?
    Thanks!

I haven't tried this fix yet, but it sure sounds like it could be the issue. Thanks.
