Alright my x60 is getting shipped on the 2nd. Because of the student discount I couldn't get the thinkpad abg card installed.
So talked to the rep and they sold me one separate for only 30bucks! Anyways,
How hard is it to switch these out, and where should I start looking as to how to do it on the x60. Thanks a lot.

It is quite easy to swap something like a wireless card. It is similar to adding more RAM to a computer. There is probably a panel on the underside of the notebook, under which the card resides. You have to remove this, and take out the card. Before taking it out, remove the antena connectors and uninstall the drivers for the card. After you have done that, insert the new card and connect it. Then reconnect the antena, and install the drivers on the computer. Then test the connection by connecting to a wireless router. Hope this helps.

Not quite that easy for recent Lenovo models. You will have to remove keybord and palm rest. Lenovo page wiil help you http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-64322. They have videos how to remove or install keyboard, HDD, memory, network card or a modem for all Thinkpads. And few more for docking stations etc.
