Hi
My Lenovo 3000 N200 had an internal Intel 3945ABG wireless card.
I want to change this to an Intel 4965AGN card so I can make use of the greater speed offered by my N router.
I can see where the wireless card is fitted in my laptop but it seems to have 2wires coming off it which I'm not sure where they go.
What is involved in changing the card to the 4965?

Two of the 4965 module connections should have a black and white marking near them, like a small triangle. The white and black wires attached there. There should also be a gray wire, and a third connector on the mondule, that's the 'N' antenna. Not all laptops come with the Gray wire.

Careful here, as Lenovo blocks booting up the machine if you don't have a specific card installed. The BIOS controls what is on the whitelist, and it is restricted to a few Lenovo branded cards. The Lenovo 4965 card may not work in your machine, you should search to see if others had any success getting it to work.
As for the wires, those are antenna leads. They go into the hinge, and are in the screen bezel for better signal reception. Most newer laptops usually come with three leads, but some older ones only come with two - it doesn't matter as it will still work. The only difference is that your laptop will only support a max of 300mbps, versus the 450mbps that newer cards support.
