This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    what are some of the differences between the combo drive and dvd-rw drive? can the combo drive use dvd-r or -rw

    A combo drive can read and write CDs, but it only reads DVDs. A DVD-RW drive can read and write both CDs and DVDs. You should not have any issues reading burned discs in either drive.
