I'm customizing a z60m for myself, and some of their terminology is confusing me. I don't think I'm stupid, it's just not clear. :D

    Under Optical device:
Is it really just 19.80 to get the combo drive? I'm not complaining, I just don't want to end up with an ultrabay adapter instead of a combo drive.

    Under Integrated WiFi wireless LAN:
If I leave the second list on 'None', will there be a wireless adapter? Is the second list asking me if I want an additional wireless adapter?

    Thanks very much.

I think I've answered my own questions by going a few steps farther and adding it to my cart and saving it as a quote. Then I could send myself a report with a detailed parts list.

The optical device is indeed a CDRW/DVD combo drive.

I did need to select one of the additional wireless adapters, otherwise there was no mention of wireless in the specs. I went for the intel since it didn't even say what the other one was.

hopefully this info will help someone else.

The other wireless card is the IBM card. I went with the IBM card because members advised of the problems with the Intel card and thought I would have better luck with the IBM card.

You are not alone on the confusion with IBMs site. I talked to the techs at my school before ordering and they did not understand either. I called IBM sales to finally figure out what I needed.

There are some people who have had difficulty with the Intel cards. Mine works fine.

Atheros, if I'm not mistaken. Don't know which one exactly.
