    hey guys,

    ive got a T400, which im completely in love with! it's a fantastic machine ---

    however, i've started noticing that my machine does a lot of this lately:

    i dont know what or why this is happening. it's happened before with full windows (rather than just the bar) before!

    If you can get a screen shot of it, it is not a hardware problem. Definitely software.

    Minus of course, a failing GPU. Which will improperly calculate graphics and send them to the screen.
    Artifacting, true artifacting, will be picked up in a screen shot.

    That said, despite the picture being impossible to see (it's one line of pixels out, right?) I would have to say it's probably not an issue with the GPU.

    ah shoot my bad on the screen. as soon as i get a new screen, ill put it up --

    but to give u an idea, its a few lines with pixels out, and on certain windows, entire sides, or entire windows are buggered. This happens only with the intel on, rather than with the ATI, and is usually fine for the most part, but then will misbehave after usage.

    I would jump to drivers first.
    Update to the latest drivers. If you're on the latest, go back one or two versions.
