This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Saw the announcement on the Lenovo homepage yeasterday, but it's gone today. They do have this press release though. I'd call phone sales and see if you can order one through them.

    You paid sales, tax, pathetic! Never do that again, which means don't buy throught the Lenovo site.

    Wonderful. More power to you. In my case sales tax is a small price to pay for the better pre and post sales support, and ability to return or exchange models. Most online stores don't allow that, and direct you to warranty services.

    Well, you get support and warranty regardless if you went through their website. I got my T60 from there for the particular model I wanted and peace of mind.

    However, a ~ $200 sales tax was a blow for a product directly from abroad, which made me almost compulsive to take advantage of their return and exchange policy.
