    Hi all...

I upgraded to Windows7 professional from Windows Vista Business 4-5 months back... and I had no problems initially. But of late, I am facing a couple of problems :(. My laptop being ThinkPad R400, P8600, 3GB Ram etc..

    1) When I start my computer (i.e. after rebooting/restarting...) and try to open My computer, documents or for that matter any folder, the following program "css_manager_vista_tpm" tries to get installed. I installed it a couple of times.. but it keeps coming up again and again. What I do now is to cancel the installation. I keep doing this for the first couple of times (i.e. cancel the installation...) and after that the installer does not pop up. Could someone please help me fix this problem.

    2) The brightness control seems all screwed up in windows 7. Sometimes, the brightness meter does not pop up but the "function key+brightness" control works. And when the brightness meter pops up the "function key+brightness" control does not work.

    Thanks a ton in advance.....

No idea with the first. You should try to uninstall the Client Security Software for now. Then make sure you install a new one. Lenovo seems to have released an updated one for Windows 7.

    With the second...

Try installing the "Lenovo System Interface Driver for Windows7, Vista and XP - Notebooks" http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-67228
That driver was updated for Windows 7.

Update your video driver from Lenovo directly. I'm not sure which video card you have so I can't help you there.

Finally try to reinstall hotkey drivers
