The discount isn't as much as the one before. Any idea when will the next big discount be?
Also, will lenovo introduce any major changes on the ThinkPads any time soon?

    Hi folks,

Rambo ... just because Montevina is coming out ... does that really assure that these companies will provide any decent deals on their Santa Rosa paltform stuff!?!?

Whether or not Lenovo or any other manufacturer is going to offer big discounts on their Santa Rosa platforms is going to depend on how many units they have in the channel and their inventory supply (parts they have to use). I would guess that some kind of deal will be available in the next 2 week but who knows.

I was surprised yesterday because my company's EPP discount was actually better than the current coupons, and the supposed "Visaperks" coupon still worked with the EPP price. These combined made for the biggest discount I have ever seen on the T61's. I think it worked out to a little over 37%.

What's visaperks? From its name, it sounds like you need a Visa credit card...true?

Also, the coupon right now, USPTIME2SAVE, says it works on all t-models, but i cant get it to work on a t61p that I want to order now with the 25% off!

I found it through Visaperks initially, so I thought I needed a Visa card to use it, but then I also found it on the Lenovo site when I went in under my company's EPP program, and there was no mention of Visa there. I didn't use a Visa card when I ordered, and it worked fine.

Doesn't the current 25% discount expire on Monday? So is it possible the next coupons will make up for the loss of this discount?

Also, doesn't Lenovo have like a 20 day price garauntee?

They have price quote. But as far as the 25% off expiring, I doubt it will. I bought my t61p on the night of 6/1 because it said that the 25% off would end 6/2. A week later the 25% off was still up on the site and functional.

Yeah, I figure the price quote should protect me if they don't offer the 25% discount after Monday. I am also using an EPP which works out to another $50, but the EPP doesn't combine with any of the current coupons. Can you ever use coupons and an EPP at the same time?
