Today i just received my y500 laptop.

The box was damaged upon arrival. There is no brown box for extra protection.

The box get dented/ damaged/ teared.

Laptop is scratched and look like used!

    So horrible !!

According to UPS: Greensboro, NC, US 12-5-2012 ORIGIN SCAN

in the box, it states made in china and shipped from china on 11-21-12 while my order date is 11-28-12
Which is AFTER my order date. SO Suspicious!
In my Past experience, It supposed to Origin scan from CHINA-> Indicates: NEW/ 1st handed laptop

I ordered my laptop from regular lenovo website ( NOT Lenovo OUTLET) which supposed to be a new laptop.

However, It's obvious that Lenovo is shipping out some REFURBISH/ Used laptops to pretend as NEW laptop and try to FOOL their customer who don't care about it.

I'm assuming lenovo is performing unlawful activities. Right now, I would like to gather all information and prepare a lawsuit against LENOVO business Practice

I just contact their post sale serive regarding on my issue, the serivce respresentative contradicted himself alot and tried to walk me around the garden without addressing my question.

He told me the email took long to receive but he managed to open my email right away after I got angry at him.
LENOVO Sale REPRESTATIVE ALWAYS "LIE" <-- good evidence on the lawsuit
    UNTRUSTABLE.

Also , the Price Match day protection from LENOVO= 21days starting from my DAMAGED laptop invoice date
but he told me to deal the replacement first and he can't deal with the Price MATCH.

Now, he sent my case into the related Department. And Now ALL I need to do is wait for the phone call about the approval of replacement and price match

Is there any of you who bought the ideapad y500 from lenovo share the same experience as me?

lenovo has a facility in NC. They might store inventory there.

Regardless, you should take pictures of the box, and have Lenovo send you a replacement.

Lenovo will deal with UPS directly about insurance and reimbursement.

Lenovo is not trying to scam the OP. I've received my Y500 today. Ordered on Friday, arrived today. Very obviously a brand new computer. Shipped from NC as point of origin. Arrived just in the laptop box, no other packaging. When I ordered a V460 a few years ago it worked exactly the same. I've worked in Best Buy warehouse in a previous life. I know how packages get treated in transit.
