    hi all

    i am very new to laptoping

    i have to transfer my data from my dektop to my new great laptop ( IBM Lenovo n100 )

    i dont know how to do that


    i want the cheapest way

    can i use dial up cable between them.............................or what............i am not an expert and i dont know how to do that..............so plz help me

    cheapest way - hmmm
    what do u have on hand? external usb drive? external optical drive? usb stick? router? an extra twisted/direct (red) net cable?

    i have already a usb dsl modem..............dial up modem...................network card...................

    get urself a direct connect network cable, connect the pc and the laptop, share all folders and u should see both sytems

    or - if u have burner on both systems, burn the data to an optical medium and copy it back ... cheapest & simple way

    i have already burners and flash memories but the data is 20 GB !!!

    i need more info plz about that direct connect network ...............how to do that

    LogMeIn.com and download the free software on your desktop. Then go to logmein.com and you can enter your desktop and transfer all the files & folders.
