    dead hard drive?

    so as i was shutting down my computer I accidentally pulled the power plug out of the laptop (battery was not installed). Next morning turning it on the thing won't load Vista.

    It'll load past the scrolling green bar and i'll get a black screen but thats as far as it gets. Tried recovery and safe mode and it just goes through the same thing.

    I'm on a T61with an 80gb 7200 rpm HD.
