    Hi guys,

I know it's probably on here somewhere, but I cant seem to find it (Searching RAM in the search isnt very helpful). I bought a T420i recently, and it's on the way. Also purchased some ram from newegg, but now freaking out about if it's the right brand. I bought this:

    Corsair Memory ? 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 SODIMM Memory (CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9)

I thought i read somewhere that any DDR3 1333 ram will do, so hoping I bought the right one.

    THanks!

The RAM (DDR3) you have in the link is supported by the new Thinkpad lines.

    Did the CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9 work on the T420i (4177) ?

    Thanks...

Yeah I used to have that kit and can confirm that it worked fine in my T420i. I'm now using the 16GB myself from Corsair (2x CMSO8GX3M1A1333C9) with no problems too.

16gb in the 4177 T420? tempting.. There's a deal on the 2x 4 GB for USD 25... but I may have to consider the 16gb.

    Thanks.
