difference between t61 & t61p?

I just bought a t61 with 570m and n wireless adapter...so, what's the difference between my t61 and other t61p?

 

This doesn't make sense. A plain T61 doesn't come with 570M. Only the T61p's do. You must've bought a T61p.

 

It didn't make sense to me either,but i only paid for t61, and when I played around with the display setting, 570m option showed up. I've called them and confirmed that I did infact get 570m. my invoice shows t61, no p...

 

Did you get the 14" or the 15"?

yea... I'm little scared though coz, I didn't get an invoice with individual add-ons, just a plain total... I've called to make sure my config, but they could start saying I didn't order it....

 

Never underestimate the incompetence of Lenovo's customer service. Perhaps someone with a T61p is wondering, right this second, where his 570m went...

 

hm... makes me worried.... did any body order manual config machine and received an invoice with what they've added??

 

Did you look up your Serial Number and too see if it matches your order? Did they ship you the *wrong* laptop (oops put it in the wrong box) or did they mess up your order higher up the chain and the 570m is in fact assigned to you?

 

I haven't received my order yet, but how can you look up a serial number if the machine is manually configured?

The numbers you need are in your email in the electronic receipt invoice. It looks something like this:


Of course I'm not going to totally expose my serial #.

 

Looked at their electronic invoice, doesn't look like I got serial #.... all I got was product number.... serial # doesn't show up in the product description, all it says is ThinkPad T61 15 Widescreen - 1 Yr Depot.

Yes, i got an invoice of what I added, on the box.

 

Make sure you're looking at the correct email... They send you a few and most are useless. If it looks like the format that Arkit posted, there WILL be a Serial in there. It's your proof of purchase and should identify your specific system (serial).
