Did someone say they flexviews have a ghosting problem?
I do know that since the refresh rate of all LCDs are around 60Hz they will never be as good as a CRT for the display of fast action movement. Someone did mention this on the forum in the past, but I have a flexview LCD and don't see any problem with it when watching movies or just using my notebook. When that person mentioned ghosting, I read up on it a even found some software that had a high contrast(white square on a black background) that bounced across the display and on my CRT there was no trail at all and on my LCD there was some trailing or ghosting, but this was under extreme conditions using a test to show this. Under normal use of watching DVDs or PC use it was not noticed.

Most notebook displays that I've seen exhibit some degree of ghosting/trailing. To me, the Flexview's is particularly bad among the current crop of high-end monitors that I've seen.
I've read that the response time for the Flexview is around 60ms. Current desktop LCDs vary between 12 and 25 ms. I'm not sure what the specs are for the typical notebook, but in my own side-by-side comparisons with other screens, the Flexview was significantly worse when it came to ghosting/trailing, particularly during high contrast applications, as Jack said.
It annoyed me, but many people don't seem to notice or mind all that much.
The screen is absolutely gorgeous otherwise. In those same comparisons, another IBM, a Toshiba, a Dell and an HP (all non-enhanced) all looked bad compared the the Flexview. If I had to pick any notebook LCD to edit photos, it would be the Flexview, hands down. The Sony X-Brite is nice, but the colors seem to shift more drastically from changes in vertical screen position than the Flexview.
