    do you need to record fingerprint again

    If you change the palm rest with fingerprint reader, do you need to register the fingerprint over again? I guess I'm not sure about the relationship between the parts on the palm rest (cable & sensor), and the registered fingerprint.

    I believe all of the fingerprint data (up to 20 prints) is stored in the TPM chip soldered onto the motherboard.

    As such, you should not need to re-enroll your prints as long as you re-attach the palm rest properly.
