i noticed from 2.5Ghz to 2.6Ghz with the same 6MB cache is $210 , does it really worth it ?

also whats really difference between the T61P and the T61 other than the graphics card?

No, not at all! Don't even think about it. ;)
The T9300 is perfect. The T9500 is pointless....

what about the extra $127 from
    160GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm
    to
200GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm with Disk Encryption

    what is the encryption anyway?

Go for the hard disk according to just how much space you need. And I can't know that, only you can. :) Not sure about encryption... probably just a marketing gimmick (just speculation). I'd like to know which drive you CAN'T perform encryption on.. ?!

For 40 more gigs I don't think its worth it. You can revert your hdd option back to 80gb or whatever the lowest is taking like 60 bucks off I'm assuming. From the default I would assume the 200gb is about $200 or more?
You can get the default config on the hdd in the laptop then buy a 200gb on Newegg, put it in yourself and have an 80gb external hdd as well for like 40 bucks under the price you would have paid before.

    EDIT:
After reading other posts I assume you don't live in the states so this might not be viable (newegg.) After thinking about it it would just be easier to pay that extra like Prasad said if you need the 200gb drive then you need it. I would pick it without disk encryption but I don't think they offer the 200gb without it.

well i'm currently using 60GB and maintaining it as whatever extra i store them on my external so i believe 160GB will be more than enough, i just need the fastest disk possible for it so any 7200rpm would do the job

man the pricing is amazing its just i cant buy it directly off lenovo.com although i'm verified member of paypal and have US address only my paypal country is not US

any other alternatives you might think of?

T61 vs T61P: The biggest difference really is just the graphics card and screen resolution availability.

CPU: The T9500 is pointless. For most people, the T8300 is probably the best to get, since it's only $38 more than the T8100 and you gain 300Mhz.

    HDD: The 160GB 7200rpm.

RAM: Is it cheaper to buy RAM thirdparty? This question has been answered countless times in the forums. The answer is almost always "yes." As for what specific brand/type of RAM to get I'm not sure.

Yes, I agree with the above. You will pay an extraordinary amount of money extra (for the T9500) for very little in return. Your best bang for the buck would be the T9300. I would keep that extra $300 for something else (such as an external monitor, and a Subway sandwich :)).
