Argh, I get an error saying:

"This computer does not meet minimum requirements for installing this software. Setup will now exit."

    I'm using Windows 7 32 bit.

Try manually updating the driver by going into Device Manager and pointing the path at the driver folder you downloaded. If this doesn't work try uninstalling the current driver first.

Hm, I tried updating the drivers manually by pointing it to the folder the setup files extracted, but it says the drivers have already been up to date, and for some reason, the driver provider is: ATI

A quick question... do you have a switchable T400, or just an integrated only model? Would it be possible to accidentally install the switchable drivers on a integrated T400, or vice versa? Do you get these kinds of artifacting elsewhere, or just on the desktop?

Yeah, do you have switchable graphics? It sure sounds like it.

If you're using Win7, I've noticed that the drivers for the switchable graphics are a little... glitchy. When I first got my machine it wouldn't even recognize the switchable graphics, for some reason.

I ended up downloading the switchable graphics drivers for Vista and the problem was resolved. Work just fine with Win7.
