I was just wondering if anyone had done any research on what drivers would work and increase game performance on the 570M in the t61p?

The 8600m GT drivers, I think. Don't quote me on that though.

what version of ForceWare and nVidia Control Panel is running on your T61p??

I did a clean install with XP Pro and I'm trying to optimize my Quadro Driver (for 3D apps, not games though) and I have Forceware 156.55 and Control Panel 1.4. I think I remember 1.5 control panel was on the machine when I received it. Trying to get it back.

    Thanks.

    Mav,

I had great success with the 163.44 beta Bioshock Driver on Laptopvideo2go.com. All I you have to do is download the driver and the modded inf. Extract the driver and then replace the original .inf with the modded one and install. Make sure you remove your old driver first and reboot and then use something like driver sweeper to remove all the old nvidia files. Works like a champ for me.

here is the Link for 163.44 XP 32bit driver from laptopvideo2go.com.

I'm able to run Stalker (only game ive tried thus far) - looks good and plays well with good res and options.

yes, of course, Vista driver if using vista. Check the forum for posts on success with the newer drivers. I haven't tried them, I can only speak for the 163.44.
