I have a brand new (opened yesterday) e320, with the i5 and the 6630.

Every time I run anything taxing; WEI, Furmark, a game, I am guaranteed pretty much after <5mins that the laptop will completely cut out.

I'm pretty sure this is an overheating issue, but I know that the temps are not dangerous (almost cold air coming from vents compared to how hot my old Vostro 1500 could get). GFX is always below 90deg.

More importantly, when i tried to install the 11.10 drivers, it screwed up the temp monitor, so that it was reporting 140deg+ gpu temps (but no more heat on the laptop), and still crashing.

RMA it after the weekend? Seriously considering getting a Packard Bell NX69.

if your E320 is pumping out cool air when the laptop is overheating, means that your heatpipe is not working, heatsink is not attached to the CPU/GPU properly or that the thermal paste is too thick.

Basically you may need to call up warranty and ask for a repair.

Where is everyone getting a Thinkpad e320? Is it available in the United States?
