does anyone else have a problem where the right corner nearest you can be bent and then pushed back into place? for example, sometimes when i set my laptop down that corner clicks, but if i torque the other corner up and that corner down the clicking on the table stops. any help/feedback greatly appreciated

I have not noticed any such behavior from my E420s. The chassis as been pretty solid. It might just be a loose something. Try tightening the screws maybe? I cant really picture what you are trying to describe though, sorry!

it is a strange behavior, if you hold down the area you rest your palms on the left side, is there any flex if you lift the right side?

ps i have tried tightening all the external screws so idk it might be something internal, not to sure

Well I just put mine to a torture test and I could not recreate what you have mentioned. If you really press hard, there is a little flex around the Thinkpad logo on the bottom right corner, but that too is very minimal. In regular day to day usage, you should not notice any flex at all. I have not noticed any flexing even when i lift the laptop by just one corner and carrying it like that. It has been solid. Sorry to hear you are having issues.

its not so much pushing as it is lifting the thinkpad corner while keeping the other corner down, this seems to bend it and keep it that way, which in turn only three of the feet touch the table and when u lightly push the thinkpad down the foot touches the table and clicks...

hard to describe, sorry, maybe ill post a vid on youtube tomorrow and put a link in here

i kinda get a picture of what you are sayin. I will be really surprised if the laptop bent out of shape and remained that way until youpushed it back. If corner foot isnt touching the table then i am guessing it would have to bend quite more than the acceptable norm to reach that state, which is certainly weird.

Yes, the video will certainly help
