I am at my permanent home now but have a home we will be renting soon and so sometimes vacation in it. I live in Canada permanently but changed my eBay registration country so i could purchase a T61p and get it shipped to the vacationing house which is in Florida. I payed for the item on Wednesday August 26th after having to phone the seller/business to let them know i need it shipped via Overnight Standard Fedex. I payed for it 2 days before i was leaving for my permanent home. I was told on the phone as well as via email that they would ship it on Thursday so i could receive it on Friday @ 3PM or later which would have worked out fine. The #%$#^'s ended up shipping it Friday at 12PM when i discovered this i was overcome with grief and i had to leave early saturday morning. The package will arrive and i am not there. Is it unreasonable to expect that the eBay seller pay for shipping to my permanent home in Canada as a result of human error? I stated very carefully that it was very important that i receive it Friday and they said they could deffinitely ship it so i would receive it on Friday.

This seller was very irresponsible, especially since you specifically called him/her and paid extra to have 2 day shipping. I would also be mad. I doubt he/she will remedy the situation. The best you can probably hope for is to get a refund for the 2 day shipping.

do a chargeback and send it back to him, to him off.

Yes, you paid for the 2-day shipping and they did say they were going to ship on a previous day (and they didn't). Not to lecture you here, but when I am expecting an important shipment (especially when I will be going away to another country), I try to set aside extra time -- shipping always ends up being unpredictable, and people do end up having some other reason that prevents them from doing what they had promised.
So, while I sympathize tremendously with your position, at the same time, I felt I needed to "side" with the seller here to some extent in order to balance the responses. Given this, I do not feel that it is fair to ask the shipper to ship it again to Canada and incur additional costs. Of course, you always have the option of returning it.
In any case, buyers in USA get the best deals and many more options than buyers in other places (I am in Canada). So, a few extra bucks to have it shipped again, no biggie. You always learn from an experience! cheers. -

Thats EXACTLY what my mother told me when she heard of it. Thanks man, that comforts me a bit. Oh you should have been there when i got a chance to look at the tracking number. I don't even think they shipped overnight, seeing as on Friday they estimated i'd get it on the 2nd and they shipped it on the 28th of august at 12PM.. Anyways, i was pissed off like mad, i was throwing together every swear word ever conceived, including the c word.. thanks again, i'm not the only one then.
eBay seller incompetency with T61p purchase.
