Have you played with any BIOS settings or anything? Or did this just start happening randomly?

well, it would certainly helps if you let us know what machine you have.

For example, a common mistake is to leave a disc in the CDROM/DVD drive and it had some sort of boot sector (but not OS). Then the bios is set to check CDROM first on it's boot list.

Another possibility is you had some sort of U3/ceedo USB thumb drive plugged in AND it so happens that your USB is on the 2nd top boot up list.

So go to your bios and set your internal HDD to the top priority to boot up first.

The worst case scenerio is that your HDD is failing if none of the above was the cause.

In such cases, do you put your OS disk in and check the startup?

    FIXED

hey everyone this problem is fixed. people was writing if i was messing around with the bios. but i didnt. i didnt do anything. well i took pixelots advice and fixed the problem

all you have to do it that put in the windows vista os disc and just run the error for the startup and it would fix any problems
