probably premature to ask, but my university tech purchaser heard from his Lenovo rep that the T400s is coming Julyish. so I'm thinking of putting off my x200 purchase.
key question is, will t400s at the same weight as an x200 w/ 9-cell battery (3.8 lbs) have reasonably good battery life?
I'm assuming the 3.8 lbs with the t400s is with a 3 or 6-cell battery with 2-3 hours, and that one could replace the dvd with a bay battery for another 1.5 hours. so, 3.5-5 hours. does this sound like a reasonable guess?
my guess is that battery life won't equal the x301 b/c t400s has a faster chip.
t400s is attractive over x200 given larger screen, better speakers, and touchpad for easier scrolling (can't stand holding down center button w/stick).

t400 s? = t400 ??

@keltix There are rumors that Lenovo will release a lighter & thinner version of the t400 in July. It could look someting like this: http://www.ascent.co.nz/productspecification.aspx?ItemID=378131

I would be really amazed if the t400s was 3.8lbs...
the x200 with 9cell is a little over 3.6lbs. -
Also, actual weight will usually be higher than specified weights... the T400s will probably be around 4.5 lbs at least.

cool..they better make some changes:
headphone jack NOT on the front...so annoying -
if it's 4.5 lbs then I'm not buying. but the lenovo rep told my purchasing guy 3.8 lbs, which is the same thing I've seen on this site. my guess is that's probably with a 3-cell battery (2-3 hours), but I'm hoping that replacing the DVD with a bay battery would offer anoother hour or two with only a couple more ounces.
I hope they keep the headphone jack on the front. doesn't get in the way of your hands when typing... -
We'll see what the real weight is. Just remember that in pretty much every review, notebooks are heavier than advertised.
expected battery life for t400s?
