for anyone that cares. read an article today at tom's hardware on another attempt to give desktop graphics performance on a laptop. it works but no any better IMO than a good onboard card. they are getting better but once again fall short. the benchmarks are the proof in the pudding. maybe next time.

i dont think so. for the price of what you get, you are already halfway paid for a new laptop with some decent graphics. i think computers are gonna be all modular in the future. kinda like connecting your mp3 player to your car, but way better. youll be able to swap pieces from home, car, work, phone, ect. this is a step closer, but not quite there.

Due to space and heat limitation laptops will always be limited. Any laptop that can game really well is also not going to last desktop is the way to go much better bang for the buck if you game.
