I purchased a sabrent ps/2 to usb adapter to use with my old ibm model m keyboard, since i find it easier to type long papers on. When i plug the usb adapter into my t61, the driver installs. When i plug in a keyboard, there is no response. I checked the settings in the control panel, under hardware the device comes up as HID (human interface device) keyboard. However there is no response to the keyboard, the lights to don't light up and there is no response from the keys. I've tried other keyboards in my house, and none work.

Does anyone have any experience using a device like this to hook up an external keyboard? If so, what am i doing wrong? Thanks!
