I am having an issue with running two external monitors with the laptop screen off. I have one monitor plugged into the vga output on my essential port replicator and the other directly into the notebook, but for some reason, the monitor plugged into the notebook does not get recognized. In both the Intel utility and the Win 7 display preferences, the only monitor that shows up is the one plugged into the port.

IIRC, you can't run two VGA monitors on a T500. If you're looking for dual external monitor capability, try the Advanced Mini-Dock which has a VGA and a DVI port(using a VGA to DVI adapter if needed). That should get your setup running like you want it to.
