    I was wondering what is the fastest/largest disk that can fit into T42P ?

    i have 60GB and i *think* its a 7200RPM (btw how can i check it?)

    I cant help you with the sata issue, but try downloading and using HD Tune and post up your results.

    The T42P uses IDE hard drives.
    The fastest/largest drive is 160gb 5400rpm and can be found here

    so my best to get 100GB 7200RPM since there aren't any bigger than 100GB IDE 7200rpm, correct?

    the 160 is probably about as fast as the 100/72. the data is more dense so your hdd is accessed faster.
