i've seen that some people talk about getting the fat wallet rebate in addition to the EPP discount.

how is that possible, since the fat wallet link is to the normal store. can you just follow that link, and then go to the epp store?

Excuse me, I am new here, but what is EPP? Is that the employee page? If so, how do you get there after clicking on the fat wallet page? Just type it in on your browser or is there some kind of link I can follow?

    *edit*
also, are you referring to the employee discount or the shareholder? Is the employee discount more (and if it is, know anyone who can give me their serial number and last name ;-) )? I saw the code for the shareholder one on the other thread.

Do you personally know an IBM or Lenovo employee? If you don't, then don't bother to purchase through the EPP.

Even if you do somehow get your hands on a real employee serial number and that employee's first name and then purchase a system through the EPP, that employee will be contacted by IBM and/Lenovo and he/she will be asked to vouch for that purchase. If the employee indicates that the purchase was made without his/her prior consent, that system's warranty will be voided.

So just in case somewhere down the line when you start having problems with your system, you will be left on your own.

The EPP is not that great because it's final sale... no refunds period.

Other channels of purchase let you get a refund or at least exchange. Not EPP tho.

Wait, is that only for the Employee Purchase Program or does that count for other programs too, like the Student Discounts. I ask because a lot of EPP and APP programs are similar.

epp is not refundable and no exchanges/

i dont know about student purchase program policy. but i know that often they have the best prices, better than employees.
