Fatwallet still has a 7% discount running for Lenovo laptops, but I cannot figure out for the life of it how to actually get it to work. I've read the thread on here as well as on FW discussion board and still no clue. Does it only work for pre-built models or can I apply it to my custom built T60? If I can, then could someone post a step-by-step guide for dummies like me on how to make this happen?

    Thanks a lot,

    Dima

The way it worked for me is:

I set up an account. Went to the link on the fatwallet page...it redirects you to the lenovo site. You buy any model, once you buy it you receive a confirmation email from fatwallet that your cashback will come.

I know it is a little disconcerting to make the purchase without seeing the cashback...but as long as you use the link that redirects you FROM the fatwallet site, you are fine.

    Have fun. I saved $85!!

...I did the same thing, but since I ordered on 11/08 and still haven't received my z61t, I wasn't so sure. But sure enough, I just checked my account and there's $143 pending in my fatwallet account. Kind of crazy...let's see what happens after it ships. I'll be happy enough to finally have the laptop in my hands, any extra cashback would just be gravy...

You can try Ebates.com as well. It appears fat wallet is a knockoff of ebates.com

darn it... I've created my quote a couple weeks ago through the students/alumni page and it won't show up if I try to log in from the main page (where fatwallet redirects me to). Just called lenovo and there is no way I can get into my account from the main page (wtf???). So I can get fatwallet discount but only if i build the system again which is gonna cost me addition 200-300 :( cant win...

I used the students/alumni link and have not seen the cash back.
On other occasions I did see the money showing up, though I have not asked for a check.
