Allow lenovo to tell you what they will support via insurance. It's actually the best bet you have. You have to remember that a large processor will cost an appreciable percentage of what the entire processor did.

I think you mean T3400 processor, right? As for upgrading, the system is based on the Intel GM45 chipset, so theoretically it can accomodate T6xxx, P-series and/or T9xxx processors. As for the mechanics (and difficulty) of such an upgrade, I can't say.

The Y430 wasn't offered with Bluetooth but many of the Y530 models were. If the connector is present in the Y430, it should be a simple upgrade.

hi folks, how's your review & feedback on Y430 so far?

I have just got the Ideapad Y430 as my 1st laptop in mid Mar 09 during an IT show here. Was very excited then as i intended to play simple online games with it.

However, in less than 2 months, my laptop crashed, blue screen showing and not able to login at all. Sent down to service centre last week, the people there say not possible for blue screen. Picked up the supposingly repaired laptop on Tue, seem ok at 1st startup... but yesterday morning blue screen came back again. :( I'm abit sad & disappointed now especially when this is my 1st laptop & it's less than 2 months old..
