After many months of deliberating and checking things out I finally order my T60. I just wanted to give thanks to all the people that helped me answer my questions for the past couple of months and I can't wait for it to get here in "2-3 weeks".

One thing did bother me thought the representative said that my model could not be upgrade to the a/b/g/n card and I didn't know why.

    Specs:
    T60 14.1"
    T7200 C2D 2ghz
    XP Home
    SXGA+
    x1400 video
    2GB (2 DIMM)
    100GB HD 5400
    DVD Burner
    Thinkpad ABG wireless
    9 cell batt

Congrats on your new Lenovo Thinkpad T60!

It looks like you have the exact same config as mine except I have no dvd burner, just CDRW/DVD-rom

By the way, what is an N card?

Same here, mine was just delivered today! Same config except I got XP Pro, 120GB 5400RPM, and Intel 3945 Wireless. I haven't gotten the chance to go get it (it's about 1.5 hours away), but I just might go after work today!

I can't wait to try it out and hopefully it's everything I imagined it could be!

My T60 only allowed up to 2GB in the selection menu which is what I got but if I wanted to put even more in after a few years, does it mean, there arent any slots for more RAM? Does it mean the absolute maximum is 2GB and I have absolutely no way for upgrading amount of RAM?

I've talked to three reps so far and they all have said that it's not possible with this model. Oh well.

I'm not sure but I think that the T60 has a max ram of 2gb and the T60p has a max ram capacity of 4gb

The T60 has a max RAM allowance of 3GB (1x1GB, 1x2GB modules), although I have seen differing numbers on the Lenovo sites (configuration shows 3GB upgradable max.) but 4GB (2x2GB modules) for max. RAM. Nevertheless, 2GB is plenty for most people's neads.

2GB is definately NOT the maximum allowance of RAM.

Its 3GB for Windows XP, Vista will allow the T60 to go up to the full 4gb
